25-year-old faces feticide charge after allegedly attacking pregnant woman

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A woman is behind bars after allegedly attacking a pregnant woman on Saturday, April 23.

The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested Deshay Carter, 25, after she allegedly attacked a pregnant 23-year-old outside of her home. Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital on April 25 for medical complications and lost her unborn child.

BRPD responds to brawl involving students, parents at McKinley High School

Carter was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of first-degree feticide, second-degree battery, and home invasion.
