Alex Reid’s fiancĂ©e Nikki Manashe faces chance of having quads with IVF: ‘It’s a new ball game’

Alex Reid’s fiancĂ©e Nikki Manashe has revealed that the couple could have ‘quadruplets’ in their next IVF round in a bid for baby number two.

The 37 year old mum blogger, who welcomed daughter Anastasia Pixie Reid in July 2021 after a seven-year IVF fertility battle with former cage fighter Alex, exclusively opened up to OK! about heading back to Harley Street Fertility Clinic for her final IVF cycle.

Nikki, who has garnered 28,400 Instagram followers and was recently nominated alongside Saffiya Vorjaee at the GLOMAMA Awards for Most Inspiring Mama, described how Anastasia, eight months, is their “blessing” and “anything else is a special bonus”.

The mum of one, who will decide how many of her two remaining frozen embryos to transfer, said: “I had two embryos implanted with Anastasia and we lost one quite early on as she was a twin.

“But now it is a whole new ball game because I will have three babies under two years old which is a lot to handle, so that is a chat to have with the doctor.”

Nikki continued: “I could have two embryos and they could split and I could have quadruplets!”

However Nikki, who was forced to isolate for 10 months during her last pregnancy because of the immune-suppressing nature of her medication, also revealed how she and Alex are prepared to form a “bubble” if it means welcoming a second baby.

Speaking about becoming parents again, Nikki said: “Alex is really, really excited but there are reservations for my health. It is still a gamble and it is also preparing myself for the worst which is a really bad way to go through an IVF cycle but it is just my coping mechanism.”

Nikki added: “We still want more children whether they are ours or not. I do want a big family and I have always thought of fostering as well.”

Speaking with her daughter Anastasia by her side, she continued: “We already have our blessing and our miracle so anything else is a special bonus.

“I would love a little girl gang but I am sure Alex would love a boy to do martial arts – that is his forte! But, as long as I have a healthy happy baby that is all I can wish for.”

Reflecting on motherhood, Nikki, whose own mum passed away at the age of 52 when she was just 24, also explained how becoming a parent has helped to “heal” the pain of her grief.

She said: “There is no greater love than, in my opinion, being a mum. My mum passed away and I honestly never thought I would feel that kind of love again but having a baby has made that love come back and even healed my heart.”

Nikki, who tragically suffered six miscarriages, continued: “My life has completely just done a 360. I don’t live my life for me anymore I live it for someone else which I just absolutely love.

“There have been times where it has been really hard with having a lack of sleep but I am even enjoying the sleepless nights because I am a mum.”

Nikki is also set to join Harley Street Fertility Clinic on Tuesday 22 March for An IVF warrior’s journey to motherhood webinar to share her experience.
