I did wonder who thought up the idea to put these ingredients together for this drink.

This cocktail is said to be named after either Queen Mary I of England (Henry the VIII’s daughter and sister to Queen Elizabeth 1st) or ghost/witch (Bloody Mary Worth).

A bartender in Paris claims to have invented it some time during the 1920.

Method

  1. Place the crushed ice in a High Ball glass.

  2. Add Tabasco and Worcestershire sauces, lemon juice, salt and pepper.

  3. Stir well.

  4. Pour in Vodka and tomato juice.

  5. Stir. MMMMM…Time to enjoy a Bloody Mary!

  6. Garnish with celery stick

  7. For a Virgin Bloody Mary, just leave out the vodka
