Christmas Fruit Mince – people either love it or hate it.

Either way it always makes it’s way to the Christmas table every year.

So here is a recipe for your own home made version. Has to be better than the shop bought ones!

Christmas Fruit Mince | Stay At Home Mum

 

Method

  1. Combine sugar, marmalade, orange zest and juice, lemon zest and juice and Cointreau in a saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to the boil.

  3. Add fruit and mix until well combined.

  4. Reduce heat and cook for 8-10 minutes or until plump, stirring frequently.

  5. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

  6. Spoon into sterilised jars or use immediately in recipes.

Recipe Hints and Tips:

  • Christmas Fruit Mince is suitable for freezing.
  • Seal in a zip lock bag and freeze for up to four weeks.
