I’m pregnant and still vape – I’m trolled but don’t care, it’s my body and I’m sure it’s fine

A WOMAN who continues to vape despite being pregnant has hit back at trolls, insisting she gets “really annoyed” when people criticise her for it.

Eve Roberts is expecting her first child and recently attended a festival, with a video of her dancing at the event put on TikTok.

Some eagle-eyed viewers spotted that she had a vape in her hand and took to the comments section to weigh in, with one writing: “Pregnant with a vape in your hand?”

And the response prompted Eve to have her say in another video on TikTok.

“This is another thing that really annoys me,” she said.

“I went to a festival and I bought a vape for the day. You don’t know anything about me, you have no idea the conversations I have with my midwife.

I was left in shock when docs told me I got pregnant TWICE in one weekI'm pregnant just two months after giving birth - I don't want an abortion

“So I don’t understand how people always think it’s ok to point out the obvious.

“Yeah, I had a vape in my hand. I don’t care, like I literally don’t care.”

She went on to insist that there’s “no proof” that vaping while pregnant does any damage.

“It’s not harming my baby, there’s no proof that vapes harm babies, for a start,” she continued.

“I know plenty of people that continue to vape and I really don’t see the issue.

“I don’t see how all these people that haven’t even had f**king children or aren’t expecting a child can just comment on what…

“Just get a life, basically, is all I’ve got to say.”

People in the comments section were divided about Eve’s response, with some insisting that vaping is better than smoking during pregnancy.

“It’s no one else’s business what you do!” one wrote.

“All of my pregnant friends were advised to vape rather then smoke when pregnant.”

“I smoked through my pregnancy and whaaaaaaaat… come for me…” another added.

While a third weighed in: “Vapes are absolutely fine, it’s safer for many woman to vape than to quit for mental health reasons, plus vapes are so much more safer.”

But others insisted Eve could be causing harm to her baby without knowing it.

“Every time u vape its like 5 seconds of time that your baby doesnt get oxygen , but im not judging at all !!” one wrote.

“Completely agree its a lot better.”

On their website, the NHS wrote: “E-cigarettes are fairly new and there are still some things we do not know.

“However, current evidence on e-cigarettes indicates they are much less risky than smoking.

“Cigarettes deliver nicotine along with thousands of harmful chemicals.

“E-cigarettes allow you to inhale nicotine through a vapour rather than smoke. By itself, nicotine is relatively harmless.

“E-cigarettes do not produce tar or carbon monoxide, the 2 main toxins in cigarette smoke.

“If using an e-cigarette helps you to stop smoking, it is much safer for you and your baby than continuing to smoke.”
