Healthy ginger drink

If you’re looking for a healthy way to spice up your life, look no further than the humble ginger root. Though it’s commonly used as a cooking spice, ginger also has a long history of use in traditional medicine. Ginger is thought to aid digestion, relieve nausea, and reduce inflammation.

It’s also a good source of antioxidants. However, it’s important to be aware that ginger can interact with certain medications, so it’s always best to check with your doctor before consuming it. When it comes to choosing a ginger drink, there are many options available on the market. Some brands use only ginger root, while others include additional ingredients like honey or lemon.

If you’re looking for the most health benefits, choose a product that contains 100% pure ginger root. And always be sure to check the label to make sure you’re not taking in more than the recommended amount. With a little bit of care, you can enjoy all the benefits that ginger has to offer without any unpleasant side effects.

Method

  1. In a glass measuring cup or heat-proof bowl, mix together the thinly sliced ginger, the honey, and the boiling water. Stir until the honey is dissolved, and then leave the mixture to steep for 10-15 minutes.

  2. While this is steeping, fill a 1.5-1.8 jug with ice and a few lemon slices (if you want). After the steeping time is up, strain the mixture into the jug and add in the lemon juice.

  3. Top the rest of the container up with water, and stir well to combine.

  4. Serve.
