Lauren Goodger has revealed she debated whether to go ahead with her second pregnancy after finding out she was expecting again just eight weeks after giving birth to her first child.

The former Towie star, 35, is currently pregnant with her second child after conceiving just weeks after having her daughter Larose in July 2021.

However, the pregnancy news came after her two-year relationship with Charles Drury, 24, broke down, leaving her facing the prospect of being a single mother to two children under the age of one.

She told The Sun: ‘I was in two minds. I wasn’t sure of the right thing to do and was worried if all this would be fair on Larose.

‘I didn’t want her to feel confused — she’s been my No1 and I would never want her to think that had changed. Plus, the situation with me and Charlie wasn’t great.’

Lauren admitted ‘everyone’ told her not to go ahead with the second pregnancy, but after thinking it over, she decided she wanted to have the baby regardless.

She added: ‘I thought, “I’m going to do it by myself”. And I’ve stuck with that. Being a single mum doesn’t scare me. It will be a challenge, but what a lovely challenge.’

Lauren and Charles had split amid rumours of him cheating on her, but the pair have put their differences aside to co-parent their children.

The reality star says Charles supported her decision to keep the second child, also a girl, and ‘never once’ said he wanted her to have a termination.

While their relationship may not be romantic any more, Lauren has ‘no worries’ about Charles being a good father to their girls, adding: ‘He loves Larose and will love the new baby just as much.’

When the new baby is born, she and Larose will have an age difference of just 11 and a half months between them.
