An early morning fire and vandalism in Longmont at Life Choices, a Christian based non-profit group that helps women with “unplanned” pregnancy, is under investigation. The incident includes apparent abortion rights graffiti.

Police and the Longmont Fire Department responded at 3:17 a.m. Saturday to 20 Mountain View Avenue where fire and smoke damaged the building, according to the city.

Responders found graffiti on the property with messages including: “If abortions aren’t safe neither are you” and “Ban off our bodies.”

The fire is being investigated as arson. No injuries were reported.

Investigators ask residents in the surrounding area to check surveillance videos between 2:45 and 3:30 a.m. for unusual or suspicious activity. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at 303 774-3700.
