The comments come after Matt made his bride Kate speechless on their wedding day with his unexpected confession.

During Monday’s episode, Matt and his nutritionist wife Kate, 38, were posing for their official photos when things took a rather awkward turn.

‘Sorry about the breath. I just had some chicken Twisties,’ he told her after they locked lips.

A mortified Kate struggled to formulate a response, and just gave her new husband a nervous giggle.

Despite his faux pas, Matt later told producers that he was an expert when it came to having confidence around women.

‘I have the confidence to go up to any one at the bar. I’ve approached celebrities for example and given them my business card,’ he explained.

And while he may think his marriage was smooth sailing, the same couldn’t be said for Kate.

‘I think he just needs to put the brakes on a little because I can say someone who’s¬† nice but I’m not ready for affection just yet,’ she told producers behind his back.

‘Matt’s quite touchy already. He’s telling me that I am beautiful and that I am great,’ she explained.¬†¬†

Kate confessed it didn’t even cross her mind that she may not find her groom attractive.
