Man arrested in hit-and-run that killed 3, including pregnant woman, police say

A hit-and-run crash early Saturday in Arlington killed three people, including a pregnant woman and her baby, police say.

The woman’s vehicle had stalled along the service road of State Highway 360, just south of Ragland Road, and a man had stopped to help her when a third driver crashed into his vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at the location of the crash, police said. The pregnant woman was taken to a hospital, where she and her baby were pronounced dead.

The names of the victims were not released.

Investigators said the driver who struck the vehicle, Adan Hermosillo Garcia, 31, ran away after the crash but was arrested by Mansfield police.

He was booked into the Arlington jail on three counts of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle, and three counts of accident involving death, according to records.

His bail had not been set Saturday evening, according to the jail.
