On June 30, Toby North’s thoughtful and informative letter was published. She clearly listed information about First Choice in the first portion. The second portion criticized First Choice for giving women full disclosure regarding our options during a pregnancy. She forgot to mention First Choice offers post-abortion follow-up services and does not charge women for its services.
Her letter’s heading is correct that First Choice is no Planned Parenthood. Abortion providers only offer abortions. That is their source of income. Planned Parenthood performs more abortions than any other abortion provider, and it provides no follow-up services. Their annual statements prove they provide abortion referrals and abortions. The options they offer are pamphlets, which may or may not be on display.
Bill A2145 would deny women any information about our fertility options. That would leave us no choice, only abortion.
Doesn’t Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson trust women to make choices with our own bodies, with our own lives?
