The SAHM kids are big fans of Chinese takeaway, particularly the Beef And Broccoli.

But with our budget regular takeaway just isn’t an option, which is why we’ve come up with this ‘fake out’ Quick ‘n’ Easy Beef And Broccoli.

It takes just 15 minutes to throw together, and tastes just as good as the takeaway if not better! Not to mention its healthy and we know exactly what went into ours. Try it out today.


  1. In a medium bowl put the soy sauce, beef stock, brown sugar, honey, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, cornstarch and 1/4 cup of water. Whisk until well combined, then set aside.

  2. Heat peanut oil in a large skillet over medium/high heat. When hot, add the onion and garlic, stir frying for a few minutes until fragrant. Then add the steak and cook, flipping once, until browned on both sides. This should take about 3-4 minutes, depending on steak thickness.

  3. Add broccoli and stir for a minute or two, then pour over the sauce. Stir until the broccoli is tender and the sauce has thickened slightly.

  4. Serve immediately. We recommend on white rice.
