Thief knocks pregnant woman to ground in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A pregnant woman was knocked to the ground by a thief who snatched her purse on a Queens street, police said Tuesday as they released video of the attack.

The 26-year-old victim was walking near 131st Street and Liberty Avenue in South Ozone Park around 6 a.m. on March 9 when the suspect ran up and grabbed her purse, according to police.

The crook pushed the woman as he stole the handbag, forcing her to the ground, video shows.

The suspect fled on foot with the victim’s purse and was last seen heading westbound on Liberty Avenue, according to police.

The victim suffered pain to her abdomen and abrasions to her hands. She was taken by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
